Assassin's Creed Odyssey Minotaur - How to Find and Beat It

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has many powerful bosses, but the most impressive are the mythical creatures you can find hidden in the game world. The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Minotaur is probably the most famous, the most terrible, and the hardest to find. He’s in the centre of a maze, after all.

We’ll show you simply how to find the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Minotaur – and how to beat the monster! And do a better job than Theseus did, anyway.

How to Find and Beat the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Minotaur

Travel to the region of Messara in the island of Crete, right at the bottom of the map, and the area called Minos’s Legacy. Specifically, Knossos Palace, which you may remember from Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. Don’t bother coming here until you’re around about level 30, and preferably you’ll need to be 40 before you take on the Minotaur.

There you’ll find a young boy called Ardos who wants you to find his father, who’s trapped in the labyrinth of the Minotaur. He’ll send you to help three people around Messara first, so complete their missions and return to the boy – who will give you the key and the location. Head in.

Theseus found his way through the labyrinth with a golden thread, and it’s still there – however, it’s a bit worse for wear after all this time. Follow it to find Ardos’s father, but after that you’ll need to make your way through the maze yourself to find the Minotaur. Turn whenever you see some skulls on a stick. Eventually you’ll make it to the centre, and the Minotaur will immediately attack.

The Minotaur is huge and has attacks with a big Area-of-Effect, so stay out of his range. Try and using fire arrows if you can, otherwise use quick weapons on his back – but do not stick around for too long, otherwise he might grab you. At half health he smashes the arena and reduces its size by half, which makes it more difficult to keep out of his attack range. Fortunately his attacks won’t change, so as long as you’ve memorised them you’ll be fine.

Keep on whittling down his health and you’ll eventually beat him! Remember, stay out of range of his attacks!
